Sunday inspiration

This video created by Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project and Happier at Home, brings tears to my eyes. It's a heartfelt, beautiful reminder to hold on to the moments that matter.

Wishing you all a beautiful Sunday full of wonderful memories.

  1. How lovely. We sometimes forget how quickly time goes by. Life is made up of phases and we should try and enjoy each phase as much as we can.

    1. Exactly. I didn't really notice the passage of time until I had children. Now that I see how quickly they change and grow, I realize just how important it is to cherish each day.

  3. Beautiful! I often think of a little part of each day that was sweet...because I too often find my self wishing for hte end of the day when life is hectic.
    Happy Sunday!

  5. I've had a few people scoff at the fact that I drive my kids to and from school even though the bus comes right by my house. Yes, it takes up almost two hours of my day. But I enjoy that time with my kids; there's nothing inconvenient about it. Thanks for the beautiful reminder, Dana.

  6. The greatest blessing in my life was having my son and being told he was going to die. It helped me to appreciate every day, to remain very present, and to rejoice at every milestone. This video made me cry. I remember so many days and moments--all those little things I didn't take for granted. What a gift.

And he hasn't died yet. Patched and re-patched, on a wing and a prayer, no guarantees, no promises ever--my miracle baby just turned 38. :) :)

The most important thing we can ever do is to be really present for someone else...and to love them. Have a happy, happy, aware week!! :)

  7. Maybe I'm just in a particularly silly mood, but those signs had me giggling so much my husband asked what was up! Thanks for the laugh.
