Happy Sunday, friends. ☺
Today's inspiration comes from Jane Perkins, an artist who takes recycling to a new level by recreating masterpieces from things people would otherwise throw away. She calls herself a "remaker," and I think it's fascinating how she can see art where most of us just see trash. You can learn more about her art and her process in the videos below. Enjoy!
Wishing you all a creative and inspirational Sunday. ☺
Fascinating, Dana! I think I would have fun just looking in her craft room at all the things she had there for her creativity! I hope your Suynday is a good one!

I would've never thought to use materials like that to recreate masterpieces. She did an awesome job!
ReplyDeletefascinating!!! I too like making art from scraps tossed by others! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. Sounds like she gets a lot of pleasure from creating her art.
ReplyDeleteYou find the most amazing things.
ReplyDeleteI loved her comment about finding the right piece for her art being similar to a jigsaw puzzle. I've worked on some very hard jigsaw puzzles with friends and there is a very strange sense of accomplishment. Her finished art is much much more impressive! Also love that people just leave bags of plastic pieces at her door. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe barbie doll one is interesting. Like she said, probably wouldn't be putting it on my one, but the other ones are pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd I guess there is hope for actually using all this stuff (junk) around my home then someday too. :)
Her Monet piece is really pretty. There's a woman who makes the rounds at our local art and craft shows who creates art from dryer lint.
ReplyDeleteIncredible...there are some amazingly creative people in this world.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Have a lovely week. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I like the way you create recycling, wonderful works !!

Wow! That is so cool! I love that it is all recycled, too. What an interesting woman. :)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting blog. A lot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that attract others, but I'm most definitely interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know.
