Sunday inspiration

Happy Sunday, friends. ☺

Today's inspiration is Malaysian artist-architect Hong Yi, who is also known as Red. I discovered her blog, Oh I See Red, last week and immediately fell in love with her artwork. According to her blog, Red is mainly known as the artist who "loves to paint, but not with a paintbrush," and it's this use of unconventional materials that fascinates and intrigues me.

I've included two videos of  her work below. The first is a portrait of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, which Red has created by cutting slices from books, and the second is a coffee cup-stain portrait of musician Jay Chou.
