Last week I posted about some of the little things that made me happy on an otherwise chaotic day. Today I'd like to highlight a Web site that asks readers to submit their own everyday sources of happiness, Just Little Things.
I discovered Just Little Things several months ago, and I quickly realized that it's one of those sites I can lose myself in. I found myself smiling at so many of the posts. The June 2 post, for example, left me nodding my head in agreement because I was happy about the very same thing that day: "When everyone at a potluck eats the dish you brought in." I don't know about you, but every time I have to bring food to an event—in my case, it was salad to a church picnic—I always worry that no one will eat it. I always tell my husband to take some so at least it looks like somebody enjoyed it. ☺ Just Little Things is filled with these little bits of happiness, from observations like "When animals sneeze" to those never-to-be-forgotten moments in life like "Walking across the stage at graduation."
The creator of Just Little Things, Nancy Vu, has been running the site since December 2010, and she recently released a book based on the submissions she receives. I haven't read the book, but I highly recommend the site if you're ever in need of a happiness boost.
I really believe there's always something to feel happy about. As Bono says, it's a beautiful day!
Wishing you all a joy-filled Tuesday. ☺
