Friday fun

Happy Friday, friends.

I'm exhausted! Yesterday I spent about fifteen hours burning DVDs from our camcorder. I finally fell into bed around two a.m., and then I was back up at five to wash a shirt my son needed for his Flag Day presentation at school today. Bedtime can't come soon enough!

I hope you enjoy this week's dose of fun. Wishing us all a relaxing (and restful) weekend. ☺

  4. 15 hours worth on a DVD or films you sved to burn. Thing I'd have stuck it on a spare Hard drive. Great signs and videos today. Hope you get to be early tonight.

    1. We're really bad about burning DVDs. I actually burned 7 hours worth twice. (We wanted two copies of the set.) The other hour was one that ended up being wasted when the computer messed up and the DVD had to be thrown out. Ugh.

Thanks. I had a short nap earlier but feel like I could use another one now. :)

    1. Does it ever! We always let our camera fill up until there are hours and hours to burn, and we always tell ourselves we won't do that ever again. Maybe this time I'll learn...

Happy Flag Day to you as well! My son's teacher chose him and another kindergartner to be flag bearers today. It went really well. :)

  23. I love these posts!! You could do a meme! "Folsom" is one of Bill's signature songs, as a lead guitarist. His dad raised him on Hank, Chet & Johnny...country & western, the real deal. That was adorable!!

I love Johnny Cash, too. He inspires me for so many reasons. "Folsom" is a great song! It must be so much fun for Bill to play. ☺

  26. One of my dad's friend regularly sends emails with photos of weird stuff like these signs. Always fun to browse!

Our Friday evening was tiring too, although you have us beat. We spent the first hour recording me as a teacher and then as a kid for an educational video I need to create for an university course. The remainder of the evening we spent editing all of our clips together. We still have to add titles and transitions. Which will make for a late Saturday night. :-( I don't think I'd ever do this during the school year.

    1. That sounds like quite the project—and much more work than burning DVDs. Good luck!

    2. Titles, stills, and transitions took another couple hours. Later today my husband and I still need to compress the video for manageable size to upload to the course blog. Lots of work, but probably more fun than burning DVDS.

Incidentally, we also have those to do too. My husband is slowly working through our stack, digitizing one camcorder tape per day and then burning it to DVD. Not much fun!

    3. Buring DVDs is such a tedious process, isn't it? Ugh.

Have fun with your project. :)

  27. Hello Dana,

What a busy day you had, at least you know how to relax and have a little fun. I like very much picture 2 and 3 and the baby rocking are irressistible.
