The skies have been a little gray lately in my corner of the world—literally and metaphorically—so I thought that today I'd focus on the things that make me happy, like...

What are some of the things that make you happy when your skies are gray?
A big yes to so much on this list. For me it's pumpkins, pie, coffee, cuddles, video games with my hubs, tea. :)
ReplyDeleteI love my morning coffee! :)
DeleteTall triple shot mocha, no whip, whole milk (instead of my usual skim) and that is a treat I love to enjoy on a gray sky day.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so good!
DeletePansies, Ancestry.com, watching "Anne of Green Gables" for the millionth time, anticipation of a weekend at the lake
ReplyDeletePansies are beautiful! I planted about ten pots of them this year and set them out on our front step. Just looking at their little smiling faces makes me happy. :)
Deletehappiness is simplicity! the little things! me too!
ReplyDeleteYes, the little things are what make me happy. :)
DeleteLove your list!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThat is a pretty awesome list...grab a hold of all that happy and hang on tight you deserve it *,*
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janice. I'm trying really hard. :)
DeleteSuch a beautiful post, Dana. Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Linda. :)
DeleteIt's so important to focus on the positive things in life, especially when we're down. Thanks for the good reminder. I should do a post like this soon!
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you do. I'd love to read it!
DeleteI need to make my jackolatern soon
ReplyDeleteSounds fun. :)
DeleteI like the notes you put in your son's lunchbox! I'm sure he enjoys getting them! Wonderful list you have there of things that make you happy, though I got to say I have never tried sushi. Its not that I'm adverse to it, I just haven't had anyone that knows what they are doing with it offer to take me to a sushi place and I'm a bit intimidated to go there myself, LOL :)
ReplyDeletehave a good day!
betty
He loves them! He can't read yet, so I just write "I love you," which he recognizes, on a heart. He saves all of them. :)
DeleteHappy Wednesday!
What a sweet post! I try to do this when I'm feeling down too. My son's smiles and the quirky toddler things he says. I love autumn too. Seeing the bright colors on the trees makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteAutumn smells good, too. :)
DeletePumpkin anything, especially pie or donuts, cuddly pets, helping with a rescue transport, a good visit with a great friend, pink roses, and finding a really good book.
ReplyDeleteAll lovely things! :)
DeleteAww. Wonderful post! ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list of happy things! You had me at sushi...
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks. :)
DeleteNow I'm smiling from ear to ear. Those things make me happy, too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt's the little things... :)
DeleteThose were beautiful! I agree with so many of them!
ReplyDeleteVery inspirational.
Heather
Thanks, Heather.
DeleteI love all those things...except for sushi! Bleh! ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I only like certain kinds.
DeleteI agree with a lot of yours, especially rainbows. I love kitties and anything that makes me laugh. Video games, anime, manga, books and writing. Can't even live without YouTube, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great list! I also spend quite a bit of time on YouTube. :)
DeleteI rejected sushi because I thought it was bait.
ReplyDeleteThen I had a sip of sake.
Thought I'd try a taste of sushi.
Another cup of sake.
"Hey, pass that bait over here!"
Two more cups of sake.
"Lookit me! Sushi in my nose!"
"Hey, why's this sake so warm? And how bout more of that great fish and rice thing?"
Carafe of sake.
"Oh, yeah? Well, I...uh...gimme nudder piece a slushies."
"Mrs. Penwasser, it appears that your husband has fallen asleep in the tempura."
I had a headache the next day.
And a fish smell I couldn't get out of my nose.
Bonzai!
Haha! But how was the sushi? :)
DeleteI'm not sure.
DeleteReally? Week 2 with the sushi? A lovely list otherwise!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say? I've got a craving. LOL
DeleteChocolate is definately #1 on my list!
ReplyDeleteMine, too, which is unfortunate for my thighs. :)
DeleteI love your list! It made me both hungry and happy!
ReplyDeleteBless you!
Aw, thanks!
DeleteI like a lot of your likes. Cuddling up with my cat also makes me happy :-)
ReplyDelete:)
Deletelove your lists!
ReplyDeletecounting blessings helps make the grey, blue.
It certainly does. :)
DeleteGreat post, Dana! I may have to "borrow" your idea! Thanks! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat sushi looks good. I don't get it often, so it's a special treat. I like a lot of those things too. Unfortunately I have lots of slips of papers around the house for these lists too, in addition to my writing notes. I need to be better organized.
ReplyDeleteI'm horrible at organization! I need to get my very organized sister over here to clean my house. :)
DeleteYour list is great! I love all of those same things! Instead of sushi though, I'd substitute salmon. :-) I think chocolate is on every women's list! Keeping you in prayer. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, mare. I appreciate those prayers so much.
DeleteYou're so good to think of the good when the bad is busy beating you in the face. I'm jealous you get pumpkin coffee creamer. As I sit with my black coffee and 500 calorie days as far as the eye can see. At least you have that!
ReplyDeleteThe store was out the last time I went shopping. Horror! I was sad.
DeleteThinking of the good is getting harder and harder, unfortunately.
