Today I'm participating in the Booking Through Thursday meme hosted by Deb. Click the button below if you'd like to play along.
Here's today's question:
What’s your favorite place to read? Do you have more than one? Can you read anywhere, or do you need things to be “just right?” Bonus points for sharing a photo of your favorite spot.
I can—and do—read just about anywhere: in the car, in bed, in the bathtub, while lying on the couch or sitting on a hard bench at story time as someone else entertains my kids. I read while I brush my teeth and when I cook dinner. I read at the computer and outside at the patio table and during commercials when I'm watching TV. When I was a kid, I even read during church. I know, I know... ☺
My kitchen table, a few of my current reads, and my favorite mug. (Yes, it's a Santa mug, but I use it year-round!) Behind the mug is a pine tree branch that my son found and asked me to put in water. What we won't do for our kids! ☺ |
What about you? What's your favorite place to read?
Nice answer, enjoy! your reading.

Thanks, Connie.
DeleteIt's so nice that you have a few minutes of reading time before the chaos of the day starts! I curl up in a chair in my bedroom, and if I'm cold, I wrap myself up in a blanket!
ReplyDeleteSounds nice and quiet—just what I like. :)
DeleteSounds good to be able to read anywhere... I can't! Here's my BTT
ReplyDeleteIt definitely comes in handy during boring waits at places like the doctor's office. :)
DeleteSounds peaceful :)

Oh, it is. It's often my favorite part of the day. :)
DeleteMy favorite spot is my recliner with a nice heavy blanket and cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely. :)
DeleteMy favorite spot is actually on an airplane or an airport for completely (almost anyway) uninterrupted and sustained reading. At home though I like my living room because it's so under-used but light and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteBoth sound good to me. I especially like the idea of reading in an underused room. Wish I had one! ;)
DeleteI'm like you - I can read anywhere - and I do like me a nice cup of steaming hot tea when I'm reading.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree. Tea or coffee make reading all the better!
DeleteOh how I wish I could read in the card! If I even read a single word in there, I get instant car sickness. I love to read either curled up on our comfy couch or in bed.
ReplyDeleteI love reading in bed, but it's dangerous because I often just end up falling asleep. :)
DeleteI like to read at the library in quiet. They have a wonderful desk near the magazines that has a elevated slant where it's easier to read.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great place!
DeleteMy favorite place to read is in bed, just before I fall asleep. It is my sleeping pill! I also like to read in my rocker/recliner that my husband bought me for my 50th birthday. But it almost ALWAYS puts me to sleep, even in the middle of the day!
ReplyDeleteReading in bed works like a sleeping pill for me, too!
DeleteI can read anywhere too. I feel so sorry for those people who get carsick when they read. That would completely suck!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite place to read is anywhere someone isn't bothering me.
LOL I like your favorite place! Isn't that the truth... :)
DeleteI used to read anywhere, too. Nowadays I am home alone all the time, so I enjoy being quietly in a nice comfortable chair with a cup of coffee. :)
