I woke up this morning full of Christmas spirit. I'm like a child waiting for Santa! Here's why:
I'm usually a last-minute shopper, but for once, I'm almost completely done buying gifts, and while I haven't wrapped anything yet, I actually enjoy the job and plan on doing it during the stolen moments I can find in the next few days. We're buying our tree from the local Boy Scout troop tonight, and I'm looking forward to decorating it with my husband and kids this weekend. And a couple of weeks ago, my husband decorated the outside of our house. He created a beautiful display, but even he would agree that it's nothing like the one in this video, which is absolutely amazing!
I'm excited for Christmas. Things are shaping up!
How are your holiday preparations going? Are you ready for Christmas?
What a gorgeous house! Thanks for sharing. I am so far behind- I need more time to be ready for Christmas. But I'm trying to enjoy it, and I never want to wish time away.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you—time goes by way too quickly as it is. Good luck with your preparations.
DeleteWow. That was terrific! I'm all done with my shopping too. It feels good not to have to worry about it. I can just enjoy the festivities over the next few weeks. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Enjoy the holiday. :)
DeleteYou SOUND excited - - and it's contagious!! Enjoy these next couple of weeks, Dana!!
ReplyDeleteI will! Happy holidays!
DeleteI've been wrapping gifts and watching Christmas movies today. Have fun with your wrapping!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It sounds like you had a great day. :)
DeleteEnjoy your decorating! I always miss decorating the house when I'm away at college, and I definitely miss it. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Merry Christmas to you as well!
DeleteI am so far behind this year! I haven't even started my cards, and I still need to buy presents. Humbug! LOL!
ReplyDelete*Hugs* You'll get there. :)
DeleteIf it makes you feel better, I haven't started my cards yet either. I always put them off...
DeleteWe just cut our own tree last weekend.
ReplyDeleteNew follower here from Contrarians site. Saw you were born in the UP and had to check in on ya! I love Christmas I just wish I could slow down and enjoy it more!
Welcome to the blog! Are you also from the UP?
DeleteI agree: I wish the pace of Christmas was much slower. It all goes by in a flash. :)
I am ready! Just bring on the BIG DAY! (Thanks for stopping by our blog! We love visitors!)
ReplyDeleteYay! :)
DeleteI love that house
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty amazing.
DeleteSome people are so clever with what they do with house decorations incorporating it with music! Very nicely done!
ReplyDeleteGood for you Dana getting everything done with shopping! The wrapping is the easy part I think; its hard sometimes to figure out what to buy, go to the stores, etc., wrapping you just pick the paper, get the gift and start wrapping :)
I'm about 50% done; we're going shopping tomorrow and I hope to "wrap" up a lot of it at the end of the evening. We only buy for four people so you think it would be easy to get it done, LOL :)
We did get our tree up last night; actually son put it up and I put a few decorations on it; he put some lights around the house and outside. We've saving decorating the rest of the tree until his girlfriend comes down to spend an early Christmas with us on 12/23; she wants to help decorate the tree :)
betty
It sounds like your preparations are going well. Have a wonderful time getting ready for Christmas!
Deletewe are almost ready too...all my kids come home next week and then we will be ready. a friend sent us that video today...wow..my kid solved it!!
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend!!
You too!
DeleteOh, I'm so ready for it - although, I haven't bought a single gift yet! I'm actually STILL decorating my house! I figure it'll be up until a week after New Year, so I'm still okay setting everything up!
ReplyDeleteI keep my decorations up at least that long, too. It's hard to let go of the season. :)
DeleteA little over a week to go, and I'm starting to get into the spirit too!!!
ReplyDeleteYay! Merry Christmas!
DeleteThat house is fabulous - but I wonder what the neighbours think ;)
ReplyDeleteIf I were a neighbor, I know what I would think! ;)
DeleteWow. That is cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready. And I haven't caught the bug yet. My kids wanted to listen to Christmas music when we're in the car these last few weeks, but I just started putting it on at home now. It'll probably hit soon.
I think it's kind of hard to get into the Christmas spirit when the stores start shoving the holiday down our throats so early in the year. :(
DeleteHave a nice Christmas!
I am often already infected by Thanksgiving--LOL! But then I don't have to shop or decorate--just turn on the music and feel the joy!! I am amazed by the houses that have these kind of music light shows!! That was something! Enjoy the season, lady!!! :):)
ReplyDeleteYou too, my friend!
