M is for Mural Art

Happy Monday!

Today's inspiration comes from mural art—specifically the work of mural artist Jamie Kerr. I'm not an artist by any means, but I still admire people like Kerr who do have that talent and pursue it. It took Kerr six days to paint the mural in the video below, and I think the result is completely fantastic. Be sure to check out how realistic the people in the finished mural look. They're pretty amazing!

My haiku for today is now up at the Pulitzer Remix site. You can find it here. Many thanks to all of you who have been reading and commenting. I appreciate your support!

Wishing you all a fantastic Monday. ☺

  1. That definitely puts my artwork to shame. But that wouldn't take much. I can't even draw a decent stick man. :(

  8. Very talented....in the art of story telling through painting. Great video...like the Hip Hop music, too.

Haiku reminds me of the Monarch Migration in the fall. They swarm and completely cover the trees...probably not maple, but mesquite here in Texas. It's an amazing sight...one I look forward to every year. I even grow Autum Joy for them to feast on before heading down to Mexico. See how I could turn your 9 words into 90? You're amazing!

    1. Thanks for your kind words. :) Coming across a butterfly during a storm, whether it's clinging to a tree or hiding in a crevice or under a rock, is such a wonderful thing to see. I'm glad my words sparked good memories for you.

I'm happy you enjoyed the video, too!

  17. I love mural art, it's found in unexpected places and appeals to the common people, it also takes a lot of talent and work to create something so wonderful on difficult surfaces and sometimes uncooperative environments. This was a great video, I so look forward to seeing what you are going to bring us each day! It's turned out to be a wonderfully fun place to visit for A-Z!
