Happy Sunday, friends.
Today's inspiration is artist and illustrator Bashir Sultani. In addition to creating many other types of art, Sultani makes art with salt. I've come across several salt artists in my travels around the Internet, but Sultani is a little different from many of the ones I've seen because his use of colored salt results in works of art that look almost like watercolor paintings. The following video is just one example. Enjoy!
Wishing you all a creative and inspirational Sunday. ☺
I admire and respect artists. Thank you for sharing this. Have a beautiful Sunday.

ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs!
Indeed he is! Happy Sunday, Bear.
DeleteThat is amazing! I though it was going to be a man at first. It blows my mind how people can visualize this stuff from nothing.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I have to plan when I make art. I wish I could be more spontaneous.
DeleteAbsolutely amazing! I liked looking at all the salt shakers by him as he was doing his picture. So many wonderfully talent people out there!
ReplyDeletebetty
So true!
DeleteWow, that was gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it? I love his use of color.
DeleteYou know it makes me crazy to watch these artists create something that won't last and therefore people won't see unless they stumble onto YouTube (or here). I'm both appreciative and envious of the creative genius, but I need some assurance of permanence.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I wanted to cry when he "messed up" his art at the end of the video. I love when artists use unusual materials, but the impermanence bothers me, too.
DeleteI've never heard of salt art before. How cool!!
ReplyDeleteI'm constantly amazed by the ways creative people look at the world. They see art everywhere!
DeleteThat is so amazing. I'm in awe of the talent.
ReplyDeleteI am too. :)
DeleteWow. That was amazing. I have heard of sand artist but not salt. Thanks for teaching me something new.
ReplyDeletePeople create art out of some amazing things, don't they? ☺
Deletethat is so cool!!
ReplyDeleteI know it's something I would never think to do. :)
DeleteAmazing. The neat thing about these artists is that they don't just create art, they create entertainment with serious "wow"factor! Another great find, Dana. ;-)
