Today is Friday, which means it's Blog Me MAYbe's "May I share something funny?" day. I've got a few kid-inspired funnies that I hope will help get your weekend off to a good start. Enjoy!
Things My Kids Have Said:
♥ My two-year-old daughter, after sampling her first waffle: "I tried the awful!"
♥ My five-year-old son, after I told him that his new battery-powered fan would be nice to have in the summer: "If I get sweaty out there, I can always use this to blow the sweaty away. Right?"
♥ Conversation I had with my two-year-old daughter about a month ago:
Me: Do you want socks?
Daughter: No.
Me: That's right. You like to have bare feet.
Daughter: (puzzled) I don't have bear feet. I have girl feet!"
The look on her face was priceless! Was Mommy crazy?
Finally, here's something that anyone who has kids can surely relate to:

So what made you laugh this week?
lol. Love the bear feet one!
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard when she said that!
DeleteThe bear feet and the Lego picture are priceless. My kids are teens now. I wouldn't mind a few Legos strewn on the floor now, but, boy, back in the day, zillions of pieces on the family room floor drove me nearly insane.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I'm constantly stepping on Legos--and those things hurt. LOL
DeleteOh those are great! Those damn legos! Everywhere I tell you! And the bear feet - priceless.
ReplyDeleteMy 2 year old says the funniest things. That or my 12 yr old daughter says some funny things but doesn't realize how funny they are.
My boys are not so funny just pigs. lol Boys will be boys.
LOL Boys definitely have a stranger sense of humor, I've noticed.
DeleteLOL with your daughter and the "girl feet". Too precious!! Enjoy the day and weekend ahead!
ReplyDeletebetty
Thanks! You, too. :)
Deletefuuny!
ReplyDeleteAww, Bear Feet... That's priceless! Sounds like you have a couple of smart (and adorable!) kiddos. :)
ReplyDeleteI think so. :)
DeleteThat is so cute. Loved your home security. I think I still have scars on my feet from Legos. The comments from your kids made me smile. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maryann!
DeleteBTW, check out my blog today. I gave you a surprise.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks for the award! I'll try to post my ten things this weekend. :)
DeleteThat lego picture is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great? :)
DeleteKids say the darnedest things. You just made me laugh, Dana. :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Have a nice weekend, Linda.
DeleteLoved the posting and the especially the last pic- Home Security- Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Hope you have a great weekend. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Alison! Have a nice weekend!
DeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite from my daughter is:
Mommy, you bumped/hit/kicked/whatever me. You have to be sorry!
Or me: Aww, looks who is being a big D.Q.
Daughter: I not a D.Q. I Perseeeeeepppphone. Say it Mommy, Perseeeeeeppppphone. (As if I don't know her name).
Aw, too cute!
DeleteI fear the home security method might injure me, but a good plan.
ReplyDeleteLOL Yes, I'm pretty sure I'd just be protecting the house from myself! Ouch!
DeleteWorth a mention in Blogging Destinations, I'd say...

We still laugh about the time my daughter was looking at a package of chicken breasts and said, "What is bon-e-less chicken?" (This is funny when you SAY it out loud -- not sure it translates in print. Let me know if you don't get it.)
ReplyDeleteLOL Funny! Kids come up with such great things! :)
DeleteI love the kid quotes. They say the craziest things, don't they? I think the funniest thing this week, was when my son came in from playing outside and was completely covered in mud. He made his appearance in front of my violin student and her mom. They nearly died laughing because he was so filthy!
ReplyDeleteKids are something else!
DeleteHa ha that is so funny.
ReplyDeleteYes, kids will be kids--and their toys are dangerous to unsuspecting feet! :)
DeleteThanks, Vivian.
Oh my gosh! What a hoot! Love the bear feet! Two year-olds are the best~ And the Legos...how true! You can break your neck stepping on those things. That is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteAnd they hurt your feet, too! :)
DeleteLove this... I'm still stepping on Legos, and my son is fifteen!!!
ReplyDeleteWrite those adorable sayings down!! You think you won't forget...but you do. :)
Oh, I'm writing them down! I have scraps of paper all over the house listing the cute and funny things the kids have said and done. One of these days I'll put them all together in the mother's journals I bought.
DeleteThanks! :)
Hello Dana: love the Friday Funnies! As i still have Legos nearly packed away - my baby is 22- i still remember the time we were out at friends for a BBQ with our then 6 year old. As we were all asked how we wanted our steaks: " medium" " medium", both his dad and i said - and with a puzzled look on his face, my son replied "i would like mine LARGE please!". Kids: they are the wisest! :). Cheers, Sylvie
ReplyDeleteLOL Kids are great!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
