Okay, let's be honest. Have you ever had the urge to tell someone this:
I have. It's such a great catchphrase that who can resist? And Alice had a ton of them.
Over the years, TV shows have come out with some great one-liners. Here are some of my favorites. (Admittedly, my list is a little heavy on the Seinfeld, but that show had so many great lines that I had a hard time choosing just one!):
♥ "Yada, yada, yada..." ~Seinfeld
♥ "No soup for you!" ~Seinfeld
♥ "Hello, Newman." ~Seinfeld
♥ "How you doin'?" ~Friends
♥ "I'm Larry. This is my brother Darryl, and that's my other brother Darryl." ~Newhart
♥ "Well, isn't that special?" ~Saturday Night Live
♥ "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" ~Diff'rent Strokes
♥ "Let's be careful out there." ~Hill Street Blues
♥ "I love it when a plan comes together." ~The A-Team
♥ "Aaay." ~Happy Days
So what are some of your favorite television catchphrases?
I loved this!!!! I'm a huge Seinfield fan so 'No Soup For You' brightened my day!!!!ReplyDelete
I have several fun ones but for some reason none can come to mind!? New Girl and Suburgatory are two of my favorites with one-liners. I'll think a few and pocket them for next time!!
Unedited has love for ya...
Thanks, Jen! Can't wait to hear your favorite catchphrases!Delete
Agreed - "No soup for you"!!! I say that all the time! And I had totally forgotten about Darryl and his other brother Darryl - - that used to be one of my favorite lines!! My all-time fav, though, comes from a movie, not a TV show. Christmas Vacation - - "Why is the carpet all wet, Todd?" "I don't know, Margo"!!!! It's just the way they say each other's names that crack me up!!! Great post, Dana!ReplyDelete
Haha! I remember the line!Delete
*LOL* You have many of my favorite there. I've got a bunch of Simpsons ones stuck in my head too!ReplyDelete
Those are good. I like, "It's a trick. Get an ax!" from Dawn of the Dead.ReplyDelete
Thanks! I'm not familiar with that one.Delete
Um, I can think of any I like. I'm watching a the entire series of How I Met Your Mother at the moment, and I'm on the verge of saying "Legen - wait for it - dary"... but I haven't so far :-)ReplyDelete

These were great. Funny how many you remember before you click on them. But I can't think of any catch phrases off the top of my head right now--too tired. You made me smile--several times, though. ;)ReplyDelete
