Six-word Saturday

Making a list, checking it twice.

There's just so much to do! I wouldn't be able to remember everything if I didn't make lists.
What's your strategy for making sure everything gets done during this busy time of year?

Happy Saturday!

    1. I wish I could wing it. Maybe then I'd be a little calmer around the holidays! My list often looks pretty daunting. :)

  2. You won an award! Come see :)

I'm a list maker too, I wouldn't remember anything without a list! Right now I've got a post it note sticking out the side of my computer screen with various homework things I need to do!

    1. Thanks for thinking of me!

I go through a lot of Post-its! This morning I wrote on a napkin because I didn't have any paper handy. Ha!

  4. Lists! Without a list of what I've got to cook on Christmas morning or prepare on Christmas Eve, it wouldn't happen! This year I'm going to write reminders of what I need to TAKE OUT of the oven too, because there's always SOMETHING left in there to discover after the meal! Enjoy your festive preparations, Dana!

    1. I've forgotten food before, too! Love your idea of the take-out-of-the-oven list. I'd better make one this year. :)

  8. We write a list and then leave it behind. If our company doesn't show tomorrow there will be lots of food leftover.

  9. .....gonna see whose naughty or nice :) (sorry, couldn't help myself :)

I used to have to keep lists, especially of the kids' gifts so I made sure they were even in number. We simplified Christmas now that everyone is older so it is a lot easier to keep track of things :)

    enjoy the season!

    1. That song has been an earworm today. :)

That's so funny that you mention the lists you kept of your kids' gifts. I just made one of those for that very reason. :)

  10. I make lists too, usually on a computer so that I can email them to my phone, because that is the one thing I seem to NEVER be without! Merry Christmas!

    1. Good idea! My phone goes everywhere, but my list, unfortunately, doesn't always make it out of the house. Thanks!

  12. The number of lists I use - housework, business, writing business, grocery, kids, holiday...I need a list of lists. It will be the meta list and it will wrap around the shrubs outside like holiday lights. And when the neighbors drive by wondering what I'm doing to the shrub with my fine tip Sharpie they'll turn to eachother and say, "She's a writer." the same way my mother lovingly excuses my laundry pile by smiling warmly and saying, "You're creative."

  13. I don't do lists... Something about seeing everything that needs to be done written out freaks me a little....

    1. About the 15 sign: I want to show that to so many people when they bring five million items to the fifteen or less line. Ugh.

Gotta go make my Monday list now. ;)

    1. That's a great idea! One of my biggest problems with lists is that I write them too quickly and then can't read my writing later.
