Six-word Saturday

Picnics on the living room floor.

At my daughter's request, this week I hosted two picnics on our living room floor, complete with a blanket and a lunch with all the trimmings. We both had a great time, and my daughter has been talking about her "special lunches" for days. I'm glad I took the time to create this memory—for both of us.

Wishing you all a joyful Saturday. ☺

  2. Sounds like the thing I should be doing, no point in going out as it's snowing

You're the one that brought me to 6WS, so thanks! It is a fun way to share a bit of your life with the others!

  6. We used to do that too! I did a similar thing as a child - not with my mom but with my brothers and I still remember that -

  8. I don't have children of my own but I do work with them. I agree that it's about the little things. They remember simple gestures like this. Your picnics sound fun. Enjoy your weekend.

  14. I used to do that with my mom and my grandparents. It always ended up being in front of the TV but with nobody paying attention to it. I guess thats what happens when every time you plan an outdoor picnic, it ends up raining that same day. We never had much luck planning around the weather but I think that made it more special. =)

    1. We had a great time. I'm sure we'll have at least a few more indoor picnics while we wait for spring—and then maybe we can go outdoors!
