Making a list, checking it twice.
There's just so much to do! I wouldn't be able to remember everything if I didn't make lists.
What's your strategy for making sure everything gets done during this busy time of year?
Happy Saturday!
What's your strategy for making sure everything gets done during this busy time of year?
Happy Saturday!
I just "wing it". LOL (But my husband LOVES - literally - to make lists.)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wing it. Maybe then I'd be a little calmer around the holidays! My list often looks pretty daunting. :)
DeleteYou won an award! Come see :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a list maker too, I wouldn't remember anything without a list! Right now I've got a post it note sticking out the side of my computer screen with various homework things I need to do!
Thanks for thinking of me!
DeleteI go through a lot of Post-its! This morning I wrote on a napkin because I didn't have any paper handy. Ha!
gonna find out who's naughty or nice.... sorry...couldn't help myself :)
ReplyDeleteI've been singing that all day! :)
DeleteLists! Without a list of what I've got to cook on Christmas morning or prepare on Christmas Eve, it wouldn't happen! This year I'm going to write reminders of what I need to TAKE OUT of the oven too, because there's always SOMETHING left in there to discover after the meal! Enjoy your festive preparations, Dana!
ReplyDeleteI've forgotten food before, too! Love your idea of the take-out-of-the-oven list. I'd better make one this year. :)
DeleteI am such a scatterbrain that I lose my lists.
ReplyDeleteThat could be a problem! LOL ;)
DeleteSeveral local stations confirm his immanent arrival.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that. :)
DeleteI need to make lists, too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I can't get along without them. :)
Deletethe stores are booming this morning
ReplyDeleteOh, boy. I'm not looking forward to the mall tonight, but my husband and I promised we'd take the kids to see Santa.
DeleteWe write a list and then leave it behind. If our company doesn't show tomorrow there will be lots of food leftover.
ReplyDeleteI've done that—so frustrating!
Delete.....gonna see whose naughty or nice :) (sorry, couldn't help myself :)
ReplyDeleteI used to have to keep lists, especially of the kids' gifts so I made sure they were even in number. We simplified Christmas now that everyone is older so it is a lot easier to keep track of things :)
enjoy the season!
betty
That song has been an earworm today. :)
DeleteThat's so funny that you mention the lists you kept of your kids' gifts. I just made one of those for that very reason. :)
I make lists too, usually on a computer so that I can email them to my phone, because that is the one thing I seem to NEVER be without! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteGood idea! My phone goes everywhere, but my list, unfortunately, doesn't always make it out of the house. Thanks!
DeleteOH I depend on lists for so many things...especially this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI'm lost without them!
DeleteHave a great Sunday. :)
The number of lists I use - housework, business, writing business, grocery, kids, holiday...I need a list of lists. It will be the meta list and it will wrap around the shrubs outside like holiday lights. And when the neighbors drive by wondering what I'm doing to the shrub with my fine tip Sharpie they'll turn to eachother and say, "She's a writer." the same way my mother lovingly excuses my laundry pile by smiling warmly and saying, "You're creative."
ReplyDeleteI love this! I need a meta list, too. :)
DeleteI don't do lists... Something about seeing everything that needs to be done written out freaks me a little....
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense to me. I know that my lists can sometimes seem pretty daunting.
DeleteHave a nice day!
Lists are the best! Otherwise, I'll definitely miss something.
ReplyDeleteSame with me. :)
Deletei need lists too! cant function well without them, winging it is for the birds! ha!
ReplyDeleteand tjose signs were so funny! taco bout it! no pie! and my fave, 15 is this many!!
About the 15 sign: I want to show that to so many people when they bring five million items to the fifteen or less line. Ugh.
DeleteGotta go make my Monday list now. ;)
i start a list in January! and keep a detailed list of all the things I buy throughout the year...then as I wrap them I put a w by it! so far, so good...i am almost done!
ReplyDeleteWow! Congrats! I wish I were that organized. :)
DeleteHa ha I make lists then forget where I've put them- so I make new lists. Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteBeen there. Haha! :)
DeleteI would be lost w/o my lists!
ReplyDeleteJust do as many things as possible and hope for the best! : )
ReplyDeleteDefinitely—as long as I have my list so I can remember the things I need to do! ;)
DeleteI am just about to print off my Christmas shopping list. I got so tired from writing it every year, I typed it up and kept it on file.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! One of my biggest problems with lists is that I write them too quickly and then can't read my writing later.
