Wordless Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

I saw these signs recently in two locations of a well-known chain of mid-range to upscale U.S. department stores. I couldn't resist taking pictures.

Oops.

Oops, they did it again.

Have a happy day!

    1. The company seems to be having a little trouble with spelling in its signage. ;)

  3. The worst spelling/grammar mistake I've encountered? The helpful placards about toilet flushing in the bathroom stalls at my office. They all have a glaring grammatical mistake--and I work in the editorial dept. of a publishing company. Headdesk.

  5. HA -- whenever I want to spell "desperate" and "separate," I have to stop and think. My trick is "sePARate" is close to "PARt." So if I'm spelling "desperate," I know it has an "e" since it doesn't relate to "part." Don't ask me why it isn't closer to the spelling of "despair."

    1. Love this! I think we all have our own little tricks when it comes to spelling. (Well, everyone except for the person who made these signs!)

  10. Seems there are more and more mistakes that even I can catch--LOL! Probably the abbreviated world of emails, texts, and twits are catching up with us. :(

    1. I'm sure that's part of the problem.
