And this is why I love Tuesdays...

Happy Tuesday, friends. ☺

I don't know about you, but I love Tuesdays. I love that Tuesday is one of the two days of the week that my daughter doesn't go to preschool. Not only does that mean I get to have more mother-daughter time, but it also means that I don't have to go anywhere unless I want to. I love stay-at-home days!

Another reason I love Tuesday is because it's not Monday.☺ Monday, while technically the second day of the week, always feels like the first day to me, and it always seems to drag...

Tuesday is also great because of songs like this one, which somehow don't sound quite as good to me any other day of the week:

Lyrics here.

"There's no time to lose, I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
Dying all the time
Lose your dreams
And you will lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?"

And in light of those lyrics, I love Tuesdays—particularly this Tuesday—because it's a new day to follow my dream. NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) starts on November 1, and I'm all signed up and ready to write. Next year at this time, I'll have a six-month old baby, so who knows if I'll be able to participate then. Instead, to paraphrase the Stones, I'm seizing the day—catching my dreams before they slip away. And that's as good a reason as any to love today. ☺

How about you? What do you love about Tuesdays? Carpe diem, friends!

Wishing you all a beautiful day.

    1. Thanks, Julie. Ruby Tuesday has been going through my head all day. ☺

I feel more prepared for NaNo this year than I have in the past. I've won before, but this year's novel is special to me. I hope I do it justice.

  5. I am a lifelong, devoted Stones fan! I have seen them live, once in Boulder, CO. I have even named pets for their songs (including this one). Thanks for this! Happy Tuesday!

  6. When you're retired, every day is Saturday, so I can't think of anything really special about Tuesday, but I trust you when you say it's a really good day.

  13. Good for you doing NaNo! Have fun with it! Honestly, in the past Tuesdays was my least favorite day of the week. You had to get through Monday and Wednesday there was hope of the weekend, but Tuesday just kind of sat there with not much potential. Now the days go by so darn fast that I sit down to begin working Monday and suddenly its Friday.

I agree with you that the days seem to be going by faster now as a rule. I think it's my age... :)

      Happy Wednesday!

  14. I actually love Mondays. My coworkers and I are the only people in the world to say that, but the restaurant is closed Mondays so it's our day off to do whatever. Whenever we make plans, its usually for Mondays. I also have Tuesdays off, unless I pick up a shift, so I enjoy them too.

  15. I read somewhere that most people get all revved up for Monday - start a diet, tackle a big work project etc - but it's actually better to do those things on Tuesday and do more catch up, prep stuff on Monday.

I'm nervous and excited for NaNo! Good luck to you! :)

  17. Aw! I miss those days when my littles were so little. They're all getting big now, and responsible, and one day they're going to be out on their own...

    *deep breath*

Tuesdays are awesome for me because I get out of the house--as in shopping. Not that I like shopping, because I really don't, but when you home school all week it can be the best "breathing" time.

I hope you have a blast with NaNo!

    1. I can understand that. The few times I've gotten out of the house by myself, no matter what the reason, were wonderful! :)

Thanks, Crystal. I'm really looking forward to it this year.

  19. I love stay at home days too! What is it? If I can stay in PJs all day as well, that's a bonus! I read a more recent post of yours....the gender of the baby in the envelope. I would SOOOO open it! Hope you're feeling well!
