I took these photos of an airplane's contrail just after sunrise one morning a couple of months ago. I always enjoy seeing the patterns these streaks of water vapor leave in the sky. What I like most about these photos, though, is the softness of the colors. It was a beautiful morning.
Wishing you all a lovely Tuesday. ☺
I love the second image with the silhouette of the house. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda. ☺
DeleteSuch pretty pastel colours - like a rainbow!
ReplyDeleteYes, and I love how muted the colors are. ☺
DeleteYes contrails are interesting, especially when they reflect sun's setting or rising rays. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks. ☺
DeleteI love these peaceful morning pictures Dana. They give me tranquil feelings.
ReplyDeleteI remember that it was very peaceful that day. Thanks!
DeleteHow interesting! It is such a bright tail too. The lighting that day was perfect to capture it. ;-)

I caught it at the right time, that's for sure! It was one of those rare moments. :)
DeleteHappy Tuesday!
nicely done. I like the way you have included the tree branches - they really add to the shot. I haven't seen pink vapour before!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Thanks! My favorite thing to photograph is trees. I liked the way the vapor looked like it was winding between the branches. :)
Deletei have a challenge for you...
ReplyDeletehow do you feel, looking at all these trees?
your feelings could be poetry (no rhyme necessary) and together with your pictures, you could compile a lovely book!
and you could travel across the country for research and more tree-spiration!
I love your challenge idea! I often write poems inspired by the trees in my photographs. What a cool idea to compile them into a book. :)
DeleteThe travel sounds pretty fun, too! Thanks, Tara. Have a great day. ☺
Yes, some trees naked very poetic!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Gary. :)
DeleteHow very cool. Sitting on my deck one day, I counted about 6 of those contrails in the sky at one time. I had to wonder just how many miles apart those planes were when it looked rather like a traffic jam.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a poem to me, Wendy. :)
Deletenice view of the sky
ReplyDeleteIt was really pretty in person, too.
DeleteThanks, Adam. :)
Very cool pink contrail. We've had rain all day. Lots of great puddle splashes with the car!

amazingly beautiful. great job Dana.
ReplyDeleteThanks. ☺
DeleteI have always loved contrails until three hours ago, when I read on Earth Observatory that they are bad for the environment. I don't know why that had never occurred to me before.
ReplyDeleteIt hadn't occurred to me either. Thanks for pointing that out.
DeleteGreat catches! You have lovely skies...the contrails do look like punctuation marks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sallie. :)
