Wish I could freeze-frame these days.
My children are three and five. I love these ages! They're both so curious and fun, and the things they say are often so wise (and sometimes hilarious). We have such a good time together.
While I know that each stage of a child's life has beautiful moments, sometimes I wish I could freeze time right now, during these wonderful, early childhood days.
Wishing you a weekend of marvelous memories!

I remember thinking similar things too! I've forgotten most of the wise and amusing comments now, which is such a shame - I wish I had written them down.
ReplyDeleteTheir growing up is so bittersweet. :)
DeleteOh, yes! You should take photos of the kids and create a great quote book of all the hilarious and wise things they say.
ReplyDeleteI've been writing down most of their wise and hilarious comments. Now I just need to find the time to record them in the memory journals I bought. :)
DeleteThose magical years pass so quickly, and before you know it the kids are all grown! Make lots of wonderful memories together that you all can treasure for years and years to come!
ReplyDeleteThanks. The years really are short. My mom says that I was in kindergarten one day and the next day I was married. That's how quickly time seems to go. So bittersweet...
DeleteLife indeed is sometimes in need of a pause button :)
ReplyDeleteIt sure is!
DeleteIt's a river. Jump in and swim. It's all you can do.
ReplyDeleteWise words.
DeleteYes, I like children at this age. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday, friend. :)
DeleteThey are fun at that age. I just wish they would sleep past 6 Am sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky that mine have always been good sleepers. It's nearly 10:30 a.m. here right now, and they're still not awake. I'll have to go upstairs and get them soon.
DeleteHave a nice weekend!
Do enjoy them! Each stage is a good one (even the tough teen ones). It would be neat if we could freeze frame time indeed!
ReplyDeletebetty
I will. :) Have a wonderful weekend!
DeleteSo true! We are always quoting what our kids said way back when. I can't wait to have grandkids...that would be my Saturday 6.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
That would be a great six! :)
DeleteHave a nice weekend.
enjoy each and every moment... good and bad
ReplyDeleteI will, Brenda. Thanks!
DeleteThose are great years! They start going over to the dark side around age 11. LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh, no. Don't tell me that! ;)
DeletePrioritize my time and enjoy more! :-) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI need to do that, too. :)
DeleteHappy weekend!
So sweet. I know the feeling. Though today was one of the pull your hair out days!
ReplyDeleteI'm all too familiar with those days. Hope it got better for you. :)
DeleteI hear you :) I wish I could turn back the clock and enjoy it all over.
ReplyDeleteI think about that every day. :)
DeleteEnjoy these moments to the max, Dana! :D
ReplyDeleteI definitely will!
DeleteMake sure you write down some of the cute things they say and be sure to take tons of photos!
ReplyDeleteI make sure I do those things every day. I don't wanna miss a thing—as Aerosmith said. ;)
DeleteLike others have suggested, you should write down the cute things. I keep a notebook to records the conversations between my students, the cute antics of my pets, and even special couple moments. Otherwise, they're too easily forgotten!
ReplyDeleteThat's so true. I write things down because I know my mind is a sieve. :)
DeleteYes, these are great years. I can't wait to read what you write 10 years from now when they're 13 and 15. HA! Don't start thinking about that now -- it'll ruin what's left of the weekend. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll take your advice and not let myself think about that! ;)
DeleteSo true! Before you know it they'll be teens...
ReplyDeleteThe years go by way too fast.
DeleteAwww - so sweet! Though I'm sure you have days which you wish would just pass by, they will be teenagers and moody before you know it. Treasure those cute words!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have quite a few of those moments, but I do treasure all the good times. :) Thanks!
Deletethose were the days all right. but playing with them now is fun too, its when they are gone that i'm worried about! but for now i enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI can't even think about that yet. Like you, I'll just enjoy the now. :)
DeleteI know exactly how you feel. They grow up so fast.
ReplyDeleteYes—way too fast...
DeleteI absolutely agree with you! I adored my son at the toddler/preschool age. Of course, at 41 I still adore him, though some of the things he now does are not the least bit cute, ha!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I'm willing to bet that my parents can say the same thing about me. :)
DeleteProbably so, Dana. There is some pleasure in knowing my son repeating the process with my grandson.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI understand your feeling.
ReplyDeleteWe have grandchildren from 16 down to 5.
Cheers!
JzB
How wonderful that must be!
DeleteHappy Sunday. :)
My granddaughters are 5 and 2 and helped me celebrate an early birthday with an ice cream cake and disco dancing after dinner. I understand completely.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful memory! Kids are amazing. :)
DeleteIt's good that you realise it now.
ReplyDeleteWe videoed a lot but we still missed stuff and forgot even more. I wish I'd blogged back then because I'd have written it all down.
I've forgotten a lot of it, too. That makes me sad...
DeleteCute concept. I guess that I don't think about it for long enough.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post.
Thanks. Six Word Saturday is a lot of fun!
DeleteI think that many times...I wish I could freeze their ages...
ReplyDeleteSame here. :)
Deletethose days are long gone for me... I often "miss" my children when they were that age... like a kind of homesickness! thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good way to describe it. It is like homesickness.
DeleteHave a great week!
