Happy Tuesday!
Well, here we are at the final letter. It's funny how a month can seem to pass so quickly and so slowly at the same time. ☺
Today's video inspiration comes from an artist who's relatively new to me: self-taught Russian artist Lora Zombie. Zombie creates what she calls "grunge art," something that I think is better experienced than explained. The video I'm posting today shows Zombie at work on one of her pieces—a fascinating process. You can see more of Zombie's work at her Web site, found here. Enjoy!
Today also marks the end of National Poetry Month and the Pulitzer Remix, a wonderful project I'm honored to have participated in this month. I've had a great time, and I'm sad to see the project end.
You can find my final haiku here. I am truly grateful for those of you who have supported me by reading and commenting on my work. Poetry is my passion, and your comments have meant so much. Thank you.
Wishing you all a wonderful and relaxing Tuesday. ☺
That video was amazing; as is you haiku. Thank you for sharing them both with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Melanie. I've really enjoyed your blog and am happy that we found each other in the A to Z. :)
DeleteGood stuff. Congratulations on completing the A to Z challenge and another great haiku.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela!
DeleteA perfect video for your Letter Z and the end of this AtoZ Challenge. Zombie...wonder if that is her real last name? Her art is certainly right out there with the ZombieNess of today!
ReplyDeleteSoaring Haiku for today....another Zinger!!!
Thank you so much for your visits and comments...everyone so appreciated.

ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Lynn. You know I always enjoy your posts, too. ☺
DeleteHad my doubts to start with but her worked turned out ok. I gotto the end but had to resort to a couple of classic cars. I'll be prepaired on the next A-Z
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too. Her process is fascinating!
DeleteCongrats on making it through, Bill! I've enjoyed your photos. :)
Congrats on the A-Z Challenge....I was so glad to see her really paint a imagine on it and then she made them skeletons....she lost me there.
ReplyDeleteI guess that's at least part of the reason she calls it grunge art. :)
DeleteCongrats to you as well!
I've enjoyed the whole alphabet with you...admiring your creativity and dedication in finding the wonderful videos and your own words (I really loved the Y"awp post (new to me, I wasn't visiting you last year). Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sallie. I appreciate that. ♥
DeleteInteresting art work. Loved all your haiku's. Now we have to cope with withdrawal symptoms - alternatively we could just rest!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. ☺
DeleteI vote for the nap! Boy, do I need one. :)
Fun process! I love the cute little pet rat :)
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cute, too—but keep it away from me. ;)
DeleteZzzzowee what a cool video! Love watching people create- and the pet rat was darling....have a great day- enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYou too, Kathe. :)
DeleteSo creative an artist. Cool name too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it!
DeleteInteresting fusion. Might be my age, but I liked it better without the skeletons. The black silhouettes were nice. Zombies are all the rage though. :-) I so wonder about the creative process behind it.
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun, Dana. Not to not lose track of you until next year!
Thanks so much--you are a sweetheart.
I have to agree with you about the skeletons. It would be great to learn more about her creative process, though.
DeleteAw, thanks, Teresa. You're very kind. I'm not sure my husband would agree with you about that—at least not all the time! ;)
Good work for one of the undead.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. :)
DeleteI can't believe we're at the end of the A-Z challenge! I've enjoyed all your posts!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry. It's been a long road. :)

DeleteCongrats to you, too! Your posts brought back a lot of good memories. I enjoyed them. :)
I want to know what Lora Zombie sees in her head when she creates.
ReplyDeleteYou made it, Dana! You survived TWO - count'em - TWO challenges in one month. Whatever shall we do tomorrow?
I want to know that, too.
DeleteIt's hard to believe I survived. And look at you: still standing after the challenge and the wedding and everything else you've been doing!
I don't know about you, but I think I'll take a nap. ☺
Congratulations, we did it, we made it all the way to Z, and you must admit it was fun! :-) I've loved your videos and this one was awesome, I was amazed at how that piece developed into a very beautiful creation... come to think of it, people and life are a bit like that too! Thank you so much for stopping by to visit every day, even while I was on vacation. I'll be back to catch up on all the posts I missed last week!
