Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
In April, I participated in two writing challenges—the Blogging from A to Z Challenge and the Pulitzer Remix. For the A to Z Challenge, I had to write twenty-six alphabet-themed blog posts, and for the Pulitzer Remix, I was required to write one found poem per day from John Updike's Rabbit is Rich.
Although I'm now exhausted, I had a wonderful time with both challenges! This was my second year participating in the A to Z, which is a great way to meet and interact with other bloggers. The Pulitzer Remix was a new project and a lot of fun, and I feel honored to be among the eighty-five poets asked to participate.
This weekend, though, I think I need a little rest. I pulled more than a few all-nighters last month, so I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying this gorgeous sunny weekend with my family.
How about you? What are your plans for the weekend?
Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday. ☺
I am glad April is over. It was crazy! Going to Mayo was no fun, our flood was a mess, several little life situations were hard to deal with...this week was spent outside cleaning the yard and flowerbeds, etc. At least Spring seems to really be here! I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou had quite the month, didn't you? I hope things are settling down for you now. Have a nice weekend. ☺
DeleteI think you deserve the rest. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charleen. You too!
DeleteI got outside and pulled weeds from my much-neglected flower beds. Today Daughter #2 and I are doing a Hard Hat Tour of her wedding venue which is undergoing renovation and tomorrow we're going to a bridal show. And I'm not writing a blog post. Feels good. Enjoy the weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a full couple of days ahead of you! Have fun. ☺

DeleteYou did such an awesome job in both challenges, Dana, the work you put into it showed! Definitely time for a rest, enjoy your weekend. I'm taking mine easy 'til I feel a little better, but those dustbunnies are calling my name, going to have to catch and release at least a few!
ReplyDeleteI cleaned half my very messy kitchen yesterday. That was all I could do! Housework is calling my name, too. I guess I should finish that kitchen some time this weekend. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Tonya. I hope you do, too. :)
DeleteAll nighters!! Never done that on a blog though sometimes I've had trouble thinking what to write or what photo to post, even struggled with what to write on the reflections post but It's done with credit to my favorite blogs and people who inspired me to do the A to Z and got a reply from Arlee Bird. Have a great weekend I will it's a Bank Holiday, Monday Off.
ReplyDeleteI should have clarified: it was the poetry that kept me up some nights, not the blogging. :)
DeleteThanks, Bill. Glad you're having a great long weekend!
Like you, I feel I need to relax after the A-Z. Enjoy your weekend!!
