Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
In April, I participated in two writing challenges—the Blogging from A to Z Challenge and the Pulitzer Remix. For the A to Z Challenge, I had to write twenty-six alphabet-themed blog posts, and for the Pulitzer Remix, I was required to write one found poem per day from John Updike's Rabbit is Rich.
Although I'm now exhausted, I had a wonderful time with both challenges! This was my second year participating in the A to Z, which is a great way to meet and interact with other bloggers. The Pulitzer Remix was a new project and a lot of fun, and I feel honored to be among the eighty-five poets asked to participate.
This weekend, though, I think I need a little rest. I pulled more than a few all-nighters last month, so I'm looking forward to relaxing and enjoying this gorgeous sunny weekend with my family.
How about you? What are your plans for the weekend?
Wishing you all a wonderful Saturday. ☺
I am glad April is over. It was crazy! Going to Mayo was no fun, our flood was a mess, several little life situations were hard to deal with...this week was spent outside cleaning the yard and flowerbeds, etc. At least Spring seems to really be here! I hope you have a great weekend!ReplyDelete
You had quite the month, didn't you? I hope things are settling down for you now. Have a nice weekend. ☺Delete
I think you deserve the rest. Have a nice weekend.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Charleen. You too!Delete
I got outside and pulled weeds from my much-neglected flower beds. Today Daughter #2 and I are doing a Hard Hat Tour of her wedding venue which is undergoing renovation and tomorrow we're going to a bridal show. And I'm not writing a blog post. Feels good. Enjoy the weekend!ReplyDelete
Sounds like you have a full couple of days ahead of you! Have fun. ☺Delete
Love your blog header. My weekend - I'm relaxing too, enjoy!ReplyDelete
Thanks, Fiona. You too!Delete
As for me, I decided to take part in a challenge myself (Blog every day in May including weekends) so I guess I have looong month ahead of me !! :)

I'm going to a town fair tomorrow. Except it might rainReplyDelete

Oh, I'm jealous! I haven't seen my parents in nearly a year. Have a great time. ☺Delete
You did such an awesome job in both challenges, Dana, the work you put into it showed! Definitely time for a rest, enjoy your weekend. I'm taking mine easy 'til I feel a little better, but those dustbunnies are calling my name, going to have to catch and release at least a few!ReplyDelete
I cleaned half my very messy kitchen yesterday. That was all I could do! Housework is calling my name, too. I guess I should finish that kitchen some time this weekend. :)Delete
Thanks, Josie. I appreciate that. I loved your posts, too.
Have a nice weekend. ☺

Yep, a rest is double due for you!!!! But what a wonderful month of posts. I enjoyed it all so much. My weekend will be catching up with grocery shopping and getting some research done for my next project...Tracks of My Georgia Ancestors. I'm a glutton for more PC Time. Have a Restful and Peaceful weekend.ReplyDelete

Pantry is looking a bit bare. Do not like the look of Bear's bare pantry. Must do something. Going to the food store. Later.
Blessings and Bear hugs!

Thank you, Tonya. I hope you do, too. :)Delete
All nighters!! Never done that on a blog though sometimes I've had trouble thinking what to write or what photo to post, even struggled with what to write on the reflections post but It's done with credit to my favorite blogs and people who inspired me to do the A to Z and got a reply from Arlee Bird. Have a great weekend I will it's a Bank Holiday, Monday Off.ReplyDelete
I should have clarified: it was the poetry that kept me up some nights, not the blogging. :)Delete
Thanks, Bill. Glad you're having a great long weekend!
