Happy Tuesday, everyone. I hope you're all having a great week so far. ☺
Several weeks ago, I mentioned that my husband would be needing surgery. Well, that surgery will take place tomorrow, and I have to admit that I'm a little nervous. (I think he is, too.) Last December, he was diagnosed with very early stage prostate cancer, and after learning about his options, he decided on the surgery. His main goal was to have the operation sooner rather than later, as he hopes to be as back-to-normal as possible before our daughter is born in April. He'll be out of work for at least four weeks, rehabbing mainly on our couch. Recovery from this kind of surgery takes time, and we're hoping and praying that everything goes smoothly.
Anyway, if you don't see me around here quite as much this week—or in subsequent weeks—you'll know why. ☺ I'd appreciate any prayers and good thoughts you'd care to send my husband's way.
Wishing you all a terrific Tuesday. ☺
You will be in my thoughts and prayers..

ReplyDeleteI will, Susan. Thank you.
DeleteWow never realised that. I hope everything goes well with the opp and his recovery. Best wishes to you both
ReplyDeleteMy dad had prostate cancer and opted for radiation rather than surgery. Cured! He lived another 11 years (of course, he was quite a bit older than your husband, so don't read that as a typical timeline). Your husband is going to be fine. Prayers and Hugs and plenty of "Hang in there"'s heading your way.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wendy. The doctors are very hopeful since his cancer was caught so soon. I appreciate those prayers and hugs.
DeleteI think everyone is nervous before surgery. My mom was about to freak out during her trip to the hospital. I wasn't worried that much, she had no other conditions, and it's a routine operation. Besides the long hours in the waiting room, it wasn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to his operation, from what you told us it sounds like it will all be a success.
Thanks, Adam. Glad everything turned out good for your mom. :)
DeleteI'll definitely keep both of you in my prayers! Hope everything goes well!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry. We appreciate that.

DeleteSo sorry you and your husband have to go through this. Surgery is always scary and anything having to do with cancer can be terrifying. Sending tons of positive thoughts your way and wishing your husband a quick and easy recovery. Take good care of yourself too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Donna. I appreciate those good thoughts. :)
DeleteHappy to pray for a successful surgery and recovery. I believe prostate cancer is slow growing and relatively easy to remove. I pray for peace for both you and your husband. Your sweet baby girl will be here before you know it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. We appreciate your prayers.
Delete(((Dana and family))) Glad they discovered it early; I trust God's will in this situation; praying for a quick recovery!
