Perfect morning: coffee, quiet, many words.
My house is quiet, my kids and husband still asleep. I've been awake for quite a while though, sipping coffee, reading, and writing. I can't think of a better way to start my weekend!
Wishing you all a peaceful and relaxing Saturday. ☺
Happy writing! Enjoy your weekend and caffee!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Adriana!
DeleteYes, I know very well what it is to enjoy that little bit of silence!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful, isn't it? :)
DeleteI'm always up about ah hour before My Beloved sandra and, for that matter, even the birds. Love that morning solitude/silence.
ReplyDeleteI do, too. My days are always better when I have quiet time in the morning.
DeleteWhat a great way to start any day! Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathe. You too!
DeleteCoffee is my life-saver :-)
ReplyDeleteSome days it's mine as well. :)
DeleteSilence is golden! Love being up when my husband and daughter are sleeping...but for me, it is late into the night instead of early morning. I'm not a morning person. :o) Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes, silence really is golden—no matter what time of day we enjoy it!
DeleteHappy weekend to you as well. ☺
Coffee, yes, coffee...good way to start the day. Have a great one!
ReplyDeleteIt's been hours, and I'm STILL drinking coffee. I love these lazy Saturday mornings!
DeleteWhereas silly me was up at crack of dawn, six word Saturday-ing, then rushed off to zumba, changed beds, made lunch, ironed... tried to catch a little sun in the garden, but it was fleeting. Collapsed with the laptop for a little gentle escapism. Bliss!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your weekend, Dana. :)
Thanks. I enjoyed my lazy morning, but now it's time to make lunch and exercise and give the kids baths and make dinner and go grocery shopping... Maybe I'll try having my quiet time later in the day sometime. It would be nice not to have to "look forward" (yeah, right!) to all of these things. :)
DeleteI remember those days of getting up early and staying up late just to have some alone time. It's a beautiful summer morning here- hope the same for you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's gorgeous today—but a little warm for me. I think I'll be cranking the air-conditioning soon. ☺
DeleteThere is nothing more peaceful than those hours before everyone wakes on a weekend. Enjoy your weekend. Loved your 6.

DeleteSounds like a great way to start! Can I come over to your place? I started my day frantically cleaning and doing laundry before yet another showing!
ReplyDeleteAnytime! :)
DeleteA good way to begin and end a Saturday, I think! Minus the coffee, for me. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery true! I hope you had a great day. :)

DeleteHum...This is a refleshing post Dana. Tell me, have you heard about an old song called Dana ? Since I'm reading your blog, I have a melody in my head, a sound of fifties. Maybe I'm just a new Joan of Arc hearing voices ? Smiles !
ReplyDeleteHappy (late) SWS
Grace
No, I haven't heard of that song. I'll check it out. :)
DeleteHave a great Monday!
That does sound like heaven.
ReplyDeleteIt was really wonderful. ☺
DeleteMorning is a quiet time for me as well. And Saturdays I can linger and be still within it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful time. I need it. :)
